Happy Earth Day!!

Dear parents,
Mrs. Wilson and I cannot believe it is almost the end of April, which means it is almost the end of the school year!!  We are still in full learning mode though, reviewing all the math skills we've learned this year, learning about animals and plants, and, because of Earth Day, learning how to take care of out planet Earth.  Here are some pictures of our class picking up trash around our school yesterday.
Make sure you check out our calendar of events!  Our Spring Carnival is this Friday, and our field trip to the Aquarium is Tuesday, April 29th!!

100 Days of School makes us 100 days smarter!!

We had a blast trying to make 100 paper cup stuctures with our team mates without them falling!  We also made the number 100 with pretzels and cereal.

Happy New Year!!

We hope you all had a relaxing, peaceful holiday break!  Mrs. Wilson and I are very excited to start 2014 with your awesome children!  We are back to full learning mode, so make sure your children do their homework, read for 10 minutes every night , and learn their sight words!  The days have been colder than usual, so please send your children to school with a warm winter jacket.
Our Kindergarten field Trip is coming up!  Field trip permission forms were sent home on Monday.  The cost is $8.  If you haven't already, please send back your child's permission form signed and enclose $8 (or more if you'd like to donate for a family in need) in a closed, labeled envelope.
As always, thank you so much for all you do!

Winter Holidays Fun!!

From Polar Express Day all the way to our fabulous Winter Holiday Party, our week was filled with fun, excitement, crafts, stories and songs that let our imaginations soar to enchanting places and our hearts filled with joy and love.  Thank you so much for your thankful gifts and kind notes! Gingerbread Day was a success thanks to your generous donations of  cookie dough, toppings, and icing.
A special thank you to Mrs. Perkins for organizing and making our Winter Party so fun and special, and for all our parents, aunt, and sister who came to help out!  Mrs. Wilson and I are very grateful for all you do, and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014!!
